What’s the difference between Gold images and Silver images? If you want to have a rare but affordable image, Gold is the way to go. Images are sold a maximum of 50 times, so the chance that you will see your image anywhere else is close to zero. Silver images are royalty-free, and come with a highly competitive price tag.
How do I contact your customer support? If you have a question, it is very probably that you can find an answer to it in our FAQ. If not, then please go to the top of this page, and contact the proper department of our customer care. Questions are answered round the clock, so we’ll get back to you by e-mail as soon as possible.
Why would I create a Pixxir membership account?Creating an account gives you some significant advantages. First of all, you get to buy photos, but you can also apply to become a Pixxir contributor. Next to that, you get access to the My Account section, where detailed information can be found about downloads and uploads.
I see that the prices of images vary. Why?At Pixxir, all images are divided in two main categories; Gold stock and Silver stock. Images that are categorized as Gold are sold a maximum of 50 times, after which they are taken offline and never sold again. So-called Silver images are royalty-free, and can be sold any number of times. The Gold images are a bit more expensive because of the rarity of the image, plus they are always sold in full resolution.
What is an isolated image?Isolated images have a single-color background, and are therefore easy to use for designers and artists. An isolated image often has a white background, but a black or colored background is also possible.
Do you also sell vector images?Yes, we do sell vector images. The pricing is a bit different though, and vector images are only sold royalty-free. An image will cost you 2, 7 or 12 Euro, depending on the quality of the image and the preference of the artist.
However, for the time being, selling and buying vector images is not possible. The beta of Pixxir is focused on photos and illustrations, we will optimize the website for vector files in the coming months.
I’m looking for a picture, but can’t find it in your database. Now what?In the event a certain image is missing in our database, please feel free to contact us. We will then contact one of our photographers, and see if we can get the image you wish – without extra costs.
I would like to receive an overview of my purchases, including tax costs, by regular mail. Is this possible?Of course, please contact your personal account manager or write to support@pixxir.com. Did you know that an overview of your purchases can also be found on the My Account - My purchased files page?
Where do I buy credits? We don’t use credits. Credits make everything complicated and more costly for you as a client, and we believe that this is unnecessary. Purchase the images you want, when you want them. It’s easy, it’s transparent, and you save money in the process.
Do I pay VAT when buying images?Pixxir is based in the Netherlands, and therefore has to oblige to the Dutch VAT system. Pixxir is part of FFWD Ventures, Chamber of Commerce no. 17250646 and VAT no. NL820724130B01. The VAT percentage in the Netherlands is 19%, so all purchases from Dutch buyers will be multiplied by 1.19.
In case of a different EU country, the VAT charges are reversed. This means that we charge the amount without VAT.
Can anyone buy images on Pixxir?Yes. Pixxir is accessible to anyone. Create an account and buy images, that’s all there is to it. Payments can be made on our secured server via PayPal, credit card or iDeal.
Where do I find information about buying images? You will find all the information you need about buying images on our Buy page. To go there, simply press the Buy button in the green banner at the top of the page, or click here.
Are there restrictions to what I can use an image for?Any image that is bought, is bought under the terms of the Terms of Use and the License Agreement. If you're not sure if you can use the image that you bought for a certain purpose, please read the Terms of Use and the License Agreement. If you feel like those documents don't fully answer your question, please contact our Support Desk.
If models are present in the image, there are some extra regulations regarding the use of the image. For more information on the use of images with models, please see section 10 and 11 of the License Agreement.
I lost one of the invoices I received from Pixxir, now what? You can find an electronic invoice of any purchase you have ever made with your account under My Account - My invoices.
All invoices are saved in the PDF file format. If you have trouble opening this file type, please download one of the many free PDF-readers.
What does 'Download expired' mean?A list of all files that you have purchased can be found at My Account - My purchased files. You will often find Download expired written behind files because a purchased file can be downloaded for a period of 24 hours. After this period, it will no longer be possible to download the file, hence the Download expired text.
Can I download a file again if the initial download was interrupted?Yes, up to 24 hours after purchasing it. When you go to My Account - My purchased files, you will find a list of all files that you have bought. The files that you bought within the past 24 hours will have a download link, all others have Download expired written instead.
